Top Court Chief Named

A new Supreme Court president was appointed this week, after Thailand’s Judicial Commission scrutinized qualifications for three contending candidates for the position. Montree Yodpanya will replace incumbent Sobchoke Sukharom this coming September.
Montree Yodpanya, a graduate of Thammasat University’s faculty of law, previously served as chief justice in Khon Kaen, as well as at the Youth and Family Court in Chiang Mai and the Southern Bangkok Civil Court, and was the chief of quorums in Phitsanulok and Thon Buri civil courts. |
