UK To Finally Legalize Prenups?
It’s been a much talked about issue over the last couple of years, but thanks to numerous reports in the UK press, we understand that the Matrimonial Property, Needs and Agreements will outline a new law ‘to consider the treatment of pre-nuptial, post-nuptial and separation agreements’.
It is hoped that the move will reduce the number of damaging court battles between former partners.
However, there is little likelihood of any change in the law before next year’s general election.
A Thailand prenuptial agreement is null and void unless it is officially registered in Thailand before the marriage. In the US and other western countries, it is generally a private agreement between parties and is not registered with the government.
