Coldest Weather in Thailand in 15 Years!
Thailand is currently experiencing the coldest recorded weather in thirty years, reports The Nation.
Deputy Director General of the Thai Meteorological Department Songkram Aksorn said:
“Bangkok hit its coldest record in 30 years Thursday morning when the temperature fell to 15.6 Celsius.”
Areas of northern Thailand have seen the temperature drop down to single digits, which has claimed the lives of 63 people. However, ministry officials have stated that the victims were already suffering from diseases, and this was exacerbated by the cold weather.
The cold has also affected Thailand’s rice crop.
