Hot! Thailand to Host First-ever World Gangja Festival in 2020

Thailand has drawn up plans to host the first-ever World Gangja Festival next year.

The festival, hatched by an agreement by both government agencies and The Association of Researchers of Thailand, hopes to promote marijuana’s untapped economic potential in the country.

The inaugural World Gangja Festival will also include academic seminars, innovation meetups, and business networking as well as traditional festival staples such as live music performances.

Although Thailand will host the festival, organizations and agencies from other countries including China, Japan, and the US will also be invited to attend.

The festival is yet another sign that Thailand plans to be a leader in the marijuana industry in the coming years.

In December of last year, Thailand became the first Southeast Asian country to legalize medical cannabis.

The World Gangja Festival will take place from January 29th to February 2nd at the Nong Yat Reservoir in Thailand’s Nakhon Phanom province.
