Airport Evicts TSA Screeners

After having the option to opt out of the TSA program Sacramento International Airport is dropping the TSA and replacing all security screeners with private contractors.
Only a few other airports have done this after Congress passed legislation earlier in the year, separating aviation security from the federal agency.
Passengers from Sacramento and San Francisco, where the TSA screeners have already been replaced, have been positive with the changes.
The new security will still use TSA equipment, wear TSA badges, and will be overseen by TSA supervisors. Current TSA employees at the airport will also be able to apply to become part of the new private security team according to infowars.
Though the TSA had frozen the ability for airports to apply to use their own private screeners, a law passed by Congress reinstated the right. Now the TSA is being forced to reconsider applications to the Screening Partnership Program.
The TSA has been downplaying the opportunity to dispense airport screeners due to worries of the agency’s position, especially after a number of privacy rights violations and passenger complaints.
