US Attorney General Hits Out at Marijuana Legalization
U.S Attorney General Jeff Sessions criticized the legalization of marijuana in some states in a statement on Wednesday that could indicate a federal crackdown on the drug, Reuters reports.
He said that he “never felt that (we) should legalize marijuana” and affirmed that the federal ban “remains in effect”.
Since becoming head of the US Department of Justice earlier this year, Sessions has made drug crime one of his top priorities, along with illegal immigration and violent crime.
