Thai Govt. Persists With GMO Bill
The Thai government are pursuing a controversial bill, that will regulate the use of GMO farming, reports Bangkok Post.
Last week roughly 200 representatives of farmers, environmental, health and consumer activists protested in Bangkok, as well as smaller gatherings around the country. Farmers believe the bill will harm their business, and there are long-standing health and environmental concerns regarding the safety of GMO produce.
The bill received cabinet approval on November 24th.
