Thai Government Unveils First Medical Marijuana Greenhouse
Thailand’s government pharmaceutical agency unveiled its first legal cannabis greenhouse, which will be used for medical and research purposes.
Just over a week ago, Thailand became the first Asian country to legalize medical marijuana nationwide.
The new grow house, built in Pathum Thani province, cost the Government Pharmaceutical Organisation (GPO) 10 million baht despite being only 100 square meters in size.
The main goal of the pot farm is to extract the purest cannabis oils possible from the plants in order to treat diseases covered by the new medical marijuana legislation.
It’s still yet to be seen what exactly the new medical pot law means for Thailand in both the short and long-term.
