States Oppose NDAA Enforcement
Several states across the U.S. are proposing legislation that would make it illegal for any law enforcement or government official to enforce the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).
The bill was introduced in both Indiana and South Carolina, and would nullify the NDAA’s provision that any citizen could be detained indefinitely without due process. The provision (Section 1021 and 1022) has been criticized for its its infringements on the First and Fifth Amendments.

Indiana and South Carolina join a host of other states who passed similar legislation after the latest NDAA was signed into law.
