Singapore announced that from Wednesday, Nov. 5 citizens from Guinea, Liberia, and Sierra Leone will require a visa to enter the country, reports Channel NewsAsia.

Singapore joins Australia and Canada, becoming the third developed country to impose travel restrictions against the West African nations over fears of Ebola hitting their borders.

Lam Pin Min, the Minister of State for Health, said, “The move will allow for better oversight, and control of entry of nationals from these countries, and facilitate possible contact tracing.”
