“Shaman’s” Arrested Over Grave Robbing
A man who describes himself as a shaman was arrested yesterday for allegedly stealing a skull from a graveyard in order to make amulets.
As The Nation reports, the arrest comes after the Udon Thani Provincial Court approved arrest warrents for two men. Narong Phumphuchit, 35, was successfully arrested, but accomplice Arthit Kongkarian is still at large.
Udon Thani Police Station superintendent said: “Their crime has emotionally devastated the victim’s family.”
The men had planned to make and sell amulets to foreign tourists.
