Myanmar Town Under Curfew
After violent clashes between Buddhists and Muslims left almost a dozen people dead, authorities in a Myanmar town have put citizens under a curfew. Hundreds rioted in Meikhtila on Wednesday, damaging shops and religious structures in the city, reports Voice of America. Some residents have said they fear going outside. Authorities have claimed a state of emergency in the city, which is 150 km south of Mandalay.
