Korean Pop Group Detained At Airport
A Korean pop group spent 15 hours detained at LAX airport, as customs staff though they might be sex workers.
According to the BBC, the groups record company WM Entertainment, say they are looking into whether their detainment was legal.
However, as more details have emerged, it’s possible that their detainment may not have been because officials thought the woman were sex workers, but rather, that they were entering the country without work visas. The group were scheduled for a photo shoot and a performance.
The group, Oh My Girl, are part of the popular K-Pop scene – South Korea’s popular music genre.
