Google Transparency Report Shows Increased FBI Snooping
A new Google Transparency Report released Wednesday shows local law enforcement and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) are using Google to mine data now more than ever, according to the Huffington Post. In addition, the data is being obtained before a warrant is issued. The report says requests for data from law enforcement agencies were up 34% between 2011 and 2012.
