Divorce Software Means Thousands May Have to Re-Open Divorce Settlement
Thousands of UK couples may have to re-open their divorce settlements after it has been revealed that a software error miscalculated their financial terms.
The error was only noticed this month by a family law specialist. The Ministry of Justice have since been urgently investigating errors that occurred with “Form E” on their website. The errors have taken place 20 months.
It is thought that the software has inflated the worth of some individuals, however not all of them would have been used in the division of assets.
