Death Sentence for Saudi Man Who Renounced Muslim Faith
A Saudi Arabian court has given a man the death sentence for renouncing his Muslim faith, reports the Telegraph.
The man, who has not been named, from the town of Hafr al-Batin filmed himself tearing up a copy of the Koran and hitting it with his shoe.
The death penalty is the standard punishment for apostasy under Sharia law, although it is rarely carried out even in Saudi Arabia.
