A number of reports have suggested the Royal Thai Army, National Police Bureau and the Department of Corrections may have purchased software to spy on computers and mobile devices from an Italian surveillance software company, reports The Nation.

The leak was first publicized on WikiLeaks. Since then, there have been concerns of unauthorized government surveillance. There are allegedly over 100 emails between the software firm and the Thai Army concerning the procurement of the software.
Thai prime minister rejects any knowledge of the supposed data leak, which apparently show it to have been bought in 2014, while he was Army commander-in-chief.
He says:
“It’s up to you whether to believe the leakers, but I know that WikiLeaks has faced many lawsuits. I can confirm that there is no attempt to access any personal data illegally. If you have not committed any wrong doing, don’t worry,”
