Recent figures from the Office for National Statistics show that divorce rates across the UK are significantly lower in recent years than they were 40 years ago.

As the Telegraph reports, there is a growing acceptance that couples living together has “ultimately strengthened marriage.”
In 2013, 130,473 couples divorced across the UK, which is the lowest level since 1975.
This coincides with the recent rise in couples actually choosing to get married in the first place – the numbers had been steadily declining until recently.
So, great news for couples. Bad news for divorce lawyers.
