What to Eat in Bangkok’s Chinatown

by Admin on February 7, 2013

In Bangkok, the Chinese New Year is undoubtedly best celebrated on Yaowarat Road, considered the center of Bangkok’s Chinatown. The area closes itself off and becomes a sea of red and gold. Dancers, dragons, Thais and Chinese alike will take to the streets to celebrate the year of the snake.

While the Chinese New Year party is undoubtedly an attraction, there’s another aspect that’s a must-see (or eat!) year-round: the food. Chinese and Thai cuisine tend to overlap here. Proteins are oftentimes unidentifiable, most dishes are delicious (to someone’s tongue!), and the experience is sometimes enlightening and always entertaining.

Here, Thai Law Forum explores some of the weirder ingredients and dishes available in Chinatown.

This is part of a larger series exploring some of the more edible adventures you can find in Thailand.
