Washington Police Warn about Marijuana in Cars

by Admin on October 14, 2015

Washington State Patrol is having to warn drivers about the new marijuana open-container law, which came into effect last month.

As Komo News reports, the law is similar to the prohibition of having open bottles or cans of alcohol in vehicles. These should either be sealed and unopened or in the trunk of the car that is inaccessible to the driver and passengers.

Drug offense attorneys in Bangkok Chaninat and Leeds have decades of experience successfully dealing with drug possession charges.

Marijuana products must be still sealed and in their original packaging, and kept in the trunk, and not in the glove compartment or center part of the car.

State troopers are currently giving warnings for infractions instead of the $136 ticket, however tickets could come at any time.
