The US State Department has recently began implementing their biometric visa service kiosks.  Miami International Airport’s automated passport control (APC) kiosks, which have  began assisting US citizens since last November, are now available to non-US citizen travelers from the 38 countries participating in the U.S. Department of State’s Visa Waiver Program (VWP) reports Planet Biometrics.

The APC technology allows travelers from abroad to have their passports and fingerprints processed in less than two minutes via a self-service APC kiosk instead of waiting in usually long line for a US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officer.
