Florida politician Alan Grayson may be able to end his 24 year marriage without the division of assets after proving his wife, Lolita, was already married when she married him, according to Fox News.

The Democrat congressman says he was unaware of his wife’s original marriage, from which she secretly undertook divorce proceedings during the first four years of her marriage to Grayson. This revelation will see him protect his $30 million estate, of which he says she will not see a cent.
According to the filing: “Unbeknownst to Mr. Grayson, Ms. Grayson was married and remained married to another man… up to and after the parties conducted an apparent marriage ceremony on April 28, 1990.”

Things turned nasty after Lolita Grayson accused her husband physical assault – an allegation he firmly denies. Indeed, the congressman released a video shot by one of his aides, which allegedly proves Lolita to have attacked her husband, with him merely backing away.
Grayson is refusing alimony payments and claiming full custody of their four children. He is also demanding $15,000 reimbursement for “all the money and property she has received” during the marriage.
He has also accused Lolita of defamation, libel, slander and abuse of process.
