The US Pentagon has stopped present military exercises with Thailand and an upcoming visit by a top Navy official has also been cancelled as a result of the military coup reports Bloosmberg Business Week.
A State Department official said the U.S. was increasingly concerned about actions of the Thailand military in the days since the coup.
On Tuesday 20 May 2014, the Royal Thai Army placed Thailand under martial law, before staging a full coup on Thursday 22 May 2014.
