91-year-old Chinese man caught in prostitution raid

After Guangxi province locals reported that prostitutes were renting out apartments in their neighborhood, police investigated and busted what they thought was your standard illegal sex transaction: a middle-aged prostitute having intercourse with a client.

The client, however, was a bit atypical for a sex client: he was 91-years-old.

When the police took him back for booking, the old man allegedly bowed his head and said, “old people make mistakes.”

The man said he had a large family and many grandchildren, and asked police to keep the arrest confidential. He said the incident was out of character for him. Police said the man was the oldest they have ever arrested in the recent anti-prostitution crackdown.

Lawyer, aiding in “conception,” has sex with sister-in-law, who’s now suing for sexual assault

Wait, what?

A New York lawyer had sex with his sister-in-law, allegedly doing her infertile husband a favor by helping her conceive.

Now the attorney is suing her, claiming that she falsely accused him of sexually assaulting her. The attorney, 47-year-old Ted McCullough, claims that his sister-in-law, 37-year-old Adrienne Mesko, has mental disorders and had asked him to inseminate her.

While no arrests have been made, police are investigating the incident. McCullough is asking for $7 million dollars for the suit, saying the allegations of sexual assault caused his wife to file for divorce.

“Pregnant” man now asking for divorce

Thomas Beatie, famously known for once being “pregnant,” is filing for divorce.

Beatie, born a woman but has been living as a man since the 1990s, had three children with wife Nancy. Now that the couple is splitting, they’re asking a court to decide who gets custody of the children.

According to WTVR, the judge is questioning whether the union between the couple is a same sex marriage. Since same sex marriages aren’t recognized in the state of Arizona, a divorce might not be granted.

The court is set to decide on the case later this month.

In Thailand, due to the variety of factors that can be involved in a divorce case, it is usually necessary to enlist the services of a Thailand divorce lawyer to guide you through this process.

Divorce parties on the rise

Just wrapped up divorce filings? It might be time for a party.

Liz Weber of Washington, D.C. held her first divorce party after splitting from her second husband, inviting 15 of her closest friends over to celebrate her new-found singlehood.

Her friends took turns ruining the grand piano her ex claimed, cutting into a “Don’t Get Mad. Get Even” decorated cake, and blaring breakup songs.

Termed “unbridled showers,” the post-divorce parties are trending in cities like Los Angeles and NYC. Sites like “divorcepartysupply.com” cater to the divorce-celebrating crowd. Couples are taking marriage mementos, like wedding dresses or cake toppers, and burning or smashing them at divorce celebrations.

Psychologists are warning not to take it to extremes and become too vengeful in the process.

New tax law makes divorce messy

The American Taxpayer Relief Act is a new federal tax law that may make it more difficult for wealthy taxpayers to divorce.

For those who file for divorce in January, known to be the peak month for divorce, filing taxes for the previous year jointly is still a benefit.

But thanks to the new act, a divorce settlement’s alimony and divisions in stock portfolios, pension plans, executive-pay packages and other assets might not be included. According to the Wall Street Journal, “alimony payments could raise adjusted gross income above $400,000, the new threshold for the top income bracket for single filers, with its 39.6% rate. Alimony is deductible by the person who pays it and reportable as income by the one who receives it.”
