Transgender Professor Arrested
Sasha was a “lady of the night” in Georgia who charged $60 for half an hour of ‘services’ and moonlighted as a professor. Or was it the other way around?
When Gwinett county police detectives did an investigation on “Sasha” for an advertisement selling her services the prostitute’s secrets made for a startling discovery. First, “Sasha” was not a she but a he, advertising in the transsexual services section of the website backpage.com. Second, this man was Max Reinhart, a highly acclaimed UGA German professor.
Reinhart, 65, was charged with prostitution and it is uncertain where his teaching career is headed. But maybe it’s time for “Sasha” to take his savings and head elsewhere. Thailand, with its convincing ladyboys would be a start. However, the slim and pouty lipped boys would give the manly “Sasha” some competition.
The ladyboys, or kathoeys, are famous throughout the world and can be found in various Patpong and Nana Plaza. Perhaps Reinhart can take some beauty lessons from his Thai “sisters.”
Ukraine Prostitution Financing University Studies
And while Reinhart may be leaving the university system due to his sexual endeavors a 20-year-old Ukrainian is using them to get in.
The Associated Press reported that prostitute Yulia has increased her rates to enter university next year to study music. It’s a rags to riches story in the making where sexually transmitted diseases and demanding clients take the place of evil step sisters and hungry wolves.
Yulia’s story is a reflection of countless other Eastern European young women and men who have been swept up into the prostitution business that has promised, and provided money but little chance of getting out the world’s oldest profession. While not every prostitute may have aspirations to attend university the reasons for putting on high heels and short dresses remain similar: money and survival.
Surprisingly, there is also a huge presence of Caucasian prostitutes in Thailand from the former Soviet Union. The Russian prostitutes who have relocated to Thailand are usually from Uzbekistan rather than from the Ukraine. Nevertheless, we do not think many are putting themselves through university studies like Yulia. Then again, as many appear to be entrepreneurial perhaps business school is a logical choice.
