Thailand’s junta government appointed a committee on Monday to write a new constitution following a previous draft being rejected last month, reports Jurist.
The 21 members of the committee will begin work on a new draft this week, and must be completed within 180 days.
The draft will then need to be approved by the legislature and will then be put to a national referendum.

According to legal expert and former Senate speaker Meechai Ruchupan, the most important thing for the committee to think about, will be whether it should revise the rejected draft, or start again completely.
