This move stays true to PM’s promise to eliminate corruption Parliament House of the Kingdom of Thailand by Sodacan
In a move that stays true to Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha’s promise to rid Thailand of corruption within the next 20 years, the country has opened its first ever corruption court on Monday reports Jurist. The court is said to initially try 70 cases.
The court is set to try cases from both the public and the private sectors. A public-policy expert from Thailand’s Chulalongkorn University told Al Jazeera, “When the case involves politicians or the private sector, it will have to go directly to this court.”
Chaninat & Leeds is a Thai based law firm that specializes in fraud litigation in Thailand including company financial fraud and land fraud in Thailand.

According to the Jurist, the court opening is just as much the government’s way to gain public support as it is to root out corruption.
