The Thai Ministry of Commerce organized the Organic and Natural Expo 2014 to showcase Thailand’s burgeoning local organic market for consumers and businesses across Bangkok.

The event, in its fourth year of production, was hosted July 24-27 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok. The event was primarily an exhibit of over 200 booths showcasing and selling everything from organic rice, to pesticide free fruits and veggies, to all natural body products.

The event website stated that the event “aims to promote consumer awareness and help build business networks among local and international manufacturers and entrepreneurs in the fields of organic and natural products and services.”

The Bangkok attorneys at Chaninat and Leeds are experts in FDA registration in Thailand and in helping business obtain licenses to import or manufacture drugs, medical devices, and cosmetics in Thailand.

According to Pattaya Mail, the ministry expected upwards of 50,000 people to attend the event, which was projected to generate an income of over 15 million baht.

Thai Law Forum attended the event to talk to businesses and visitors at the exhibit about the organic market in Thailand, the growing consumer awareness, and the government’s efforts to increase local, organic trade:
