Thai Coffee Shop Owner Posts Pics of Scantily Clad Models Serving Customers, Faces Jail Time

A coffee shop owner in Chon Buri faces prosecution after posting pictures and a video of models serving customers while wearing only an apron and underwear.

The owner says that the sexy social media posts were an attempt to boost his struggling business.

But local Thai officials say that the content posted of the models is “lewd or tarnishing to society”, and therefore violates Thailand’s Computer Act. The man could face up to five years in jail and/or a fine up to 100,000 baht.

The pictures and video quickly took social media by storm, drawing 3,500 comments, 21,000 reactions and 8,800 shares from Facebook users in just five hours of being posted.
