The Employment Department announced that migrant workers, including Myanmar, Lao, and Cambodian nationals, cannot be employed as nannies in Thailand, reports the Bangkok Post.
Sumeth Mahosot, the director-general of the Employment Department, made the announcement in early August.
Law firm Chaninat and Leeds has a staff of Thailand child custody lawyers prepared to defend a parent’s rights in Thai Family Courts.
The announcement came after Dr. Duangporn Asvarachan, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Hospital’s deputy director, “expressed concern about the influence nannies and domestic helpers from different cultural and social environments have on a child’s development,” reports the Bangkok Post.
