Tax Expert Ed Mofrad Explains US Expat Taxes

Tax has never been a hotter issue for US expats living in Thailand.

Anna from Thailawforum interviewed Ed Mofrad CPA CVA MBA from US tax firm Mofrad Tax Services. Ed holds both a MBA designation and is a California Certified Public Accountant.

Formerly Ed was based in Bangkok for four years. Therefore he has personal experience with being an expat.

Ed and his associates explain US’s new FACTA law is and the affect it will have for US expats in Thailand.  Thailand has signed an agreement with the USA to assist the US tax authorities in collecting tax information of US nationals pursuant to the new FACTA law.
