There won’t be a rehearing for Obama’s immigration policy

The U.S Supreme Court,in a one-line order, has declined to rehear Obama’s initiatives on immigration reports ACLJ.
The requests for a rehearing came after the Justices tied 4-4 earlier this June resulting in the immigration plan being blocked from going into effect due to a lower court order.
The policy would have shielded approximately 4 million immigrants from being deported out of the country. Immediately after it was announced in 2014, Texas along with 25 other states filed a lawsuit against it claiming that the president had no power to order such changes.

Justice spokeswoman Dena Iverson said “We are disappointed in the Court’s decision and we are considering next steps,” while major opponent of the policy, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, said the court’s decision not to take up the issue again was a vindication.
