Rapper Snoop Dogg has received major backlash for his most recent music video in which he can be seen assassinating a Trump lookalike at close range.
According to Digital Music News, the video received more than a million views hours after it was released on Monday and has been slammed by Republicans who call it a direct threat to the President.
Snoop Dogg could face serious trouble should the White House decide to take action. Under Section 871 of United States Code, Title 18, “any threat to take the life of, to kidnap, or to inflict bodily harm upon the President of the United States”, can warrant a fine or imprisonment of up to 5 years or both.
Although the rapper isn’t the first to make threats to the current President, he is the most high profile one. Other rappers who have made threats include Rick Ross and Big Sean, neither of whom faced any criminal enforcement.
