Nichole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi has already become famous (or infamous?) due to her appearances on the reality TV show Jersey Shore. Now there is the possibility of a new law being named after the poufy haired reality starlet.

A New Jersey lawmaker, Ronald Dancer, wants towns to have a say in the filming of reality TV shows within their boundaries before issues arise.  The ‘Snookiville Law’ would let towns impose conditions including requiring TV crews to pay for additional police officers to assure public safety during filming.

The majority of people against the reality show are Italian-Americans who feel their heritage is being misrepresented. On the show the stars flaunt their ‘Italianess’ and use slang such as guido which has offended a number of people with Italian backgrounds.

The cast members of Jersey shore were involved in scuffles and drunken public displays where police were routinely assigned to areas where filming occurred. Snooki and co-star Jennifer ‘JWoww’ Farley have been filming a spinoff. There have no reports of disturbances. Yet.
