Most mainstream media sources are covering the gun control issue in public congressional hearings since the Sandy Hook shooting. These hearings usually involve victims of the family advocating for stricter gun control or other testimonies intended to pull on one’s heart strings.
Coverage of testimonies like the following, however, is sparse to non-existent until social media makes a video like this go viral.
Bill Stevens is the father of a Sandy Hook elementary student who was not killed or injured during the shootings. Stevens quoted former NRA president Charlton Heston, saying that his right to bear arms would only be taken if pried “from his cold, dead hands.”
Chaninat & Leeds’ US and Thai Attorneys have been representing clients in Thailand and abroad for over 40 years.
Stevens’ hearing was completely ignored by the media until the video went viral on the internet. Instead, we saw the edited “heckled” hearing of Neil Heslin, a Sandy Hook shooting victim’s father.
The suppression of differing views from mainstream media has been a constant, until recently, with the appearance of alternative journalists like Alex Jones appeared on CNN’s Piers Morgan.
