The Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster was a catastrophic failure at the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant on 11 March 2011. The plant was hit by the tsunami triggered by the Tokoyu earthquake. The plant then began releasing substantial amounts of radioactive materials, becoming the largest nuclear incident since the Chernobyl disaster.

Dr. Rianne Teule is a radiation expert with Greenpeace International, who has visited the radioactively contaminated areas around the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant, four times since the nuclear disaster.
She reports that radiation levels are clearly still too high and that residents have huge fears of contamination.
She is calling on the Japanese government to do more to help people.
