Political tensions have risen in Thailand after the controversial Amnesty Bill was introduced that could allow fugitive former premier Thaksin Shinawatra to return Thailand.
Although the Thai Amnesty Bill has now been withdrawn, tensions remain as there are some who are rallying for the current government to withdraw. 16 countries, including the UK, have advised their citizens to avoid traveling in Thailand at the present time.
We went to Democracy Monument to see how busy the protests were, and interviewed tourists along Khao San Road to ask how they felt about being in Bangkok at the present time.

This video shows footage of the rally on Wednesday 14 November 2013 from Democracy Monument and interviews with tourists near the monument and along Khao San Road.
Only half of the tourists were aware that protests were occurring and even those who were not aware they were happening said they would not have been put off visiting Bangkok if they had known in advance of their trip of the present situation.
