System issues have included an inability to submit visa applications and make online payments, but now the US Department of State (DOS) and National Visa Center (NVC) have made steps to resolve the problems with the Consular Electronic Application Center.
However, applicants continue to report problems.

One trending issue has been letters from the NVC which state that as the applicant has not been in touch for the past year, and their immigrant visa application will be terminated – even though the applicant may have been in touch.
The NVC have stated that they are working to correct this issue, and they are sending applicants follow up emails indicating that the notice of termination was sent by mistake.
