Previously Banned: Hitler’s Mein Kampf is Now a Bestseller

Adolf Hitler’s autobiography “Mein Kampf” (My Struggle) fell out of copyright at the end of 2015, prior to which there was some debate about whether it should be allowed to be released.

Now, an annotated version currently sits second in the nonfiction ranks on the German weekly Der Spiegel’s bestseller list.

Critics argued that banning the book only made it more appealing in its mystery.

Luckily, the annotated version is very different from Hitler’s original. The 2000 page edition is annotated with expert remarks, putting Hitler’s extremist views into context.
