A member of European parliament against Pokémon Go’s use of personal data
Politico reports Marc Tarabella, a member of the European parliament is filing a request with the European Commission to look into the privacy practices of the Pokémon Go application and to warn European citizens against dangers involved with getting the game.
According to Tarabella, the game breaches EU privacy laws including a yet to be enforced General Data Protection Regulation and its “predecessor directive on the protection of personal data.”
