Trump signed a new law that effectively revoked Obama’s law that prevented hunters from killing hibernating bears and wolf cubs in dens in Alaska. The law also banned hunting from helicopters.

Jonathan Turley reports that Alaska has been requesting the government for expansion of hunting in federal wildlife refuges despite its negative impacts on endangered animals.

The law has come as a blow to environmentalists and animal rights activists with some calling it “heartbreaking”. In a letter to the editor of the Spokesman, an upset resident, Yvonne Leach wrote, “I am supportive of ethical, sportsman-like, fair-chase hunting practices. But this isn’t hunting; this is slaughter.”

If someone gets caught killing or hunting animals in a restricted area what kind of lawyer would he need?
