Chinese Shark Fin Fishing Crew in Nevada Fined $6 million

Nevada passed a law in in June 2017 making it illegal to sell products composed of shark body products. The law also applies to other aquatic animals such as sea turtles, rays etc. A Chinese fishing crew has recently been fined almost $6 million for the poaching of 6,600 sharks off the coast of the Galapagos Islands.
