Murderer to Have Long-Term Stay at IIa Prison

by Admin on August 24, 2012

Mass murderer Anders Behring Breivik is expected to remain at IIa prison for a number of years whether or not he is declared insane.

If found insane he will be detained for as long as he is deemed a danger to society; if found sane, he will serve a maximum of 21 years.

But luckily for Anders, the prison is providing him with three cells in “compensation” for being denied access to activities available to other inmates.

One cell is a bedroom, one contains fitness equipment and the third is a study with a laptop fixed to the desk. Unfortunately, the computer has no internet so Anders won’t be able to update his Twitter status. He will be following up the manifesto he published online before his attacks by writing books.

Officials at IIa were quoted by AP as saying the ambition was eventually to transfer Breivik to a section with other prisoners. These have access to a school, a library, a gym, and work in the prison’s workshops.

The good thing is that Andres doesn’t have to pay for his space, because that would just be absurd. Really, how much would a three-bedroom apartment complete with fitness area, computer, TV, and furniture cost?
