Journalist Adam Mueller has been sentenced to almost three months behind bars for publishing police conversations on the Web. He had been covering the story of a high school student that was allegedly assaulted by a cop on campus and recorded police conversations for his report which the court says violates their wiretap law.
Criminal defense attorneys have noted that there has been a steady erosion of constitutional rights, including freedom of speech and freedom of the press in recent years.
