Lawyers from Saudi Arabia Thrown in Jail for Criticizing Tweets

Three lawyers from Saudi Arabia have been arrested and sentenced to prison for denouncing the Saudi legal system, calling it “retarded” on Twitter, reports Jonathan Turley.

The lawyers were convicted of “disobeying the ruler” and slandering the judicial system. They were sentenced to prison—one for eight years and the other two for five—and were banned “from appearing in the media or writing in it, and through social media whatsoever, even under different IDs/names,” according to Jonathan Turley.
