Japan Cigarette Firm Suing Thai Government

One of Asia’s largest cigarette manufacturers, Japan Tabacco has sued the Thai government over plans to increase the graphic health warnings on cigarette packets to 85% from the present covering of 55%. 

Japan Tabacco have said they believe the proposal to be unconstitutional and against freedom of speech, but the aim is to try and if not eradicate, at least reduce the amount of people who smoke in Thailand report The Bangkok Post.
