Israelis Arrested for E-Cigarette in Thailand

An Israeli couple paid a fine of $1,200 after police found they were in possession of an e-cigarette. Thailand had banned the use of e-cigarettes in 2014. The couple was arrested before they were forced to pay the fine.

Thailand’s divorce law consists of three categories. The first is administrative divorces, the second court divorces and third are Sharia law divorces. It is advised to contact expert Thailand divorce attorneys with a myriad of experience. 

The Israeli consulate in Thailand looked into the matter before the couple had to pay the fine and found the legislation banning the use of e-cigarettes. Following the incident, the Israeli Foreign Ministry has announced a travel alert warning Israelis not to bring their e-cigarette to Thailand.

The warning states that “a person who is found violating this law might be fined, tried and jailed”.
