As The Independent reports, the move is part of a “radical cultural shift” that will enable drug users in Dublin to inject drugs in control amounts in a clean environment, in specially designated rooms.

It will remain a crime to profit from the illegal sale or distribution of drugs, however users will no longer be criminalized.
