A new US law putting visa restrictions on Iranians and those who had visited Iran has been criticized by Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif who argues it breaches a nuclear deal Tehran struck with world powers earlier this year.

As Reuters reports, the new measure which has been passed by the US Congress means that there will be no more visa free travel to the United States for those who hold Iranian nationality, and even those who have simply visited the country.

The measure also applies to Iraq, Syria and Sudan, and comes as a reaction to the recent Islamic attacks in Paris and San Bernardino, California.

Mohammad Javad Zarif said: “If the Congress law is implemented as it is, it would definitely be a breach (of JCPOA).”
