Technology has changed the way people work. With the ease of telecommuting, email, and video conferencing, working at a desk in an office is no longer necessary nor as enjoyable as say, working at a coffee shop on a beach.
“Location independence” is a growing trend among digital natives and digital immigrants with a penchant for travel. Expats in Thailand, if not already living the lifestyle, are likely familiar with it. Creating a career where one usually works solely from their laptop is more than convenient.
Here, Sean Ogle of Location 180 tells Thai Law Forum about the location independent life, its not-so-obvious benefits, and what he has given up to be able to work from anywhere.
